Sneak peek: an exclusive look at the new RIU Palace Punta Cana
Attention lovers of the Dominican Republic: RIU Palace Punta Cana has closed its doors to undergo a well-deserved makeover, which will radically transform its appearance.
The reopening is scheduled for July 2018. PAX has obtained an exclusive sneak peek at what's about to come, as well as details on the renovations themselves.
All common areas of the hotel, including restaurants and bars will be re-modernized. Several new establishments will open their doors once the work is finished: a Spanish restaurant, the Capuchino pastry shop, the RiuLand Kids Club, a gym, a sauna and a spa, all in the main building.
The pool area will also be redesigned, since it will eventually include three more pools including a pool with slides for children.
The rooms and suites will be completely redecorated, and the bathrooms will undergo renovations.
