Sandals sweetens Jamaica weddings with free package, new experiences

Sandals Resorts is expanding its destination wedding offerings in Jamaica as a US$200 million transformation of Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Caribbean Cay and Sandals South Coast continues to take shape.

Alongside upgrades across the three all-inclusive resorts, Sandals has unveiled two new offerings aimed at couples planning weddings and other celebrations: a free upgraded wedding package for qualifying 2027 stays and the Celebration Collection by Island Routes, a portfolio of private experiences for couples and their guests.

The developments come as Sandals introduces new accommodations, dining concepts and gathering spaces across the three Jamaican properties, including the brand's first-ever double queen suites.

Free wedding package for 2027

Couples planning a 2027 wedding at Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Caribbean Cay or Sandals South Coast can receive a free upgraded Sweetheart Wedding Package.

The offer is available to couples booking a minimum five-night stay in a Club or Butler category room for travel in 2027 and covers weddings of up to 50 guests.

The package includes a dedicated wedding planning team, ceremony venue, bridal bouquet and groom's boutonniere, private cocktail reception, wedding cake, photography and videography credits, spa savings and honeymoon amenities.

Sandals will also waive Jamaica marriage licence and administrative fees, representing a US$250 value.

The offer is available for elopements, petite weddings and micro-weddings.

Island Routes launches Celebration Collection

Sandals is also extending its wedding and celebration experiences beyond its resorts through the new Celebration Collection by Island Routes.

Available in Jamaica, the portfolio features private experiences designed for proposals, destination weddings, vow renewals and milestone celebrations.

Options range from private catamaran sailings, waterfall and secluded cove adventures and luxury beachside lunches to artisanal chocolate and rum pairings, Jamaican culinary masterclasses and bamboo river rafting.

Couples and their guests can also participate in cultural tours through Montego Bay and historic Falmouth.

The new offerings come as Jamaica was recently recognized as the Caribbean's most peaceful destination in the Global Peace Index.

Three resorts, three wedding settings

At Sandals Montego Bay, the brand's flagship property, couples can hold ceremonies overlooking the beach while incorporating several new resort experiences into their wedding weekends.

Additions include Jamaica's first waterfront Buccan, Bay Roc Rum Club, Scrimshaw and Parisol Beach Club, while new Swim-Up Suites and Oceanview accommodations provide additional options for couples and wedding guests.

Sandals Caribbean Cay, meanwhile, offers couples the opportunity to exchange vows on Sandals Cay, the resort's offshore island.

New and refreshed features include family-style dining at Suppa, cocktails at Keynote Rum Bar, new SkyPool Suites, refreshed Overwater Butler Villas and Beachfront Swim-Up Suites.

A new Parisol Beach Club on Sandals Cay also provides another waterfront setting for celebrations.

At Sandals South Coast, located within a 500-acre nature preserve, couples can incorporate several new resort features into their wedding stays.

Guests can start their day with Jamaica's Blue Mountain coffee at BLUM or dine at the newly arrived Butch's Island Chop House.

Accommodation options include refreshed Overwater Butler Villas and the brand's first Silver Sun Beachfront Club Two Queen Junior Suites, designed to give wedding parties and groups more options for staying together.

Jamaica sale underway

Sandals is also promoting its Great Jamaica Comeback Sale for weddings, anniversaries and romantic getaways.

The promotion includes up to US$1,500 in instant credit, up to US$350 in air credit when booked with Unique Vacations Inc., and a complimentary Jamaican adventure.

Bookings must be made by Sept. 7, 2026, for qualifying stays through Dec. 25, 2027. Savings and inclusions vary depending on length of stay and travel dates.
