The RIU Santa Fe is back, bigger & better than ever

RIU Hotels & Resorts has completed the renovation and enlargement of the Riu Santa Fe in Los Cabos, Mexico, after three months of work to put the finishing touches on the hotel's new zone.

The 24-hour, all-inclusive RIU hotel, which opened its doors for the first time in 2007, is located on the El Médano beach in Baja California Sur, with views of the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas in the Sea of Cortez. Following the renovation, the resort is unveiling a 'Splash Water World' water park and has added new swimming pools for a total of six (four of which have swim-up bars). It offers an additional 288 rooms in three brand new buildings.

The Riu Santa Fe will now offer free WiFi throughout the complex and in its 1,190 rooms. In addition, the hotel offers a new gastronomic alternative that's perfect for a snack by the pool: delicious Jamaican barbecue at the Jerk Station, as well as a new main restaurant, 'El Médano'. The gastronomic offer is completed by the existing main restaurant, 'La Baja California', the Italian 'Carusso', the Asian 'Zashila', the Mexican 'La Misión' and 'Torote', a snack bar by day and a steakhouse by night.

The opening of the new Splash bar, brings the total number of restaurants to 10. A stage featuring a dance floor has also been built to provide entertainment during evening shows.

RIU has also rolled out the new concept of "fun for everyone". Besides offering a 'Splash Water World' water park and a swimming pool with slides and games for kids in the new RiuLand, the brand new zone of the hotel has been set up and fitted out to offer the best theme parties organized under the name 'Riu Pool Parties'.

This new 'Riu Pool Parties' concept is designed to let RIU customers enjoy a selection of unique and organized entertainment. Each week, the hotel puts on several daytime parties: the White Pool Party, which will transport guests to the Greek world; the Jungle Pool Party, where everything will be decorated to look like the jungle; and the Pink Pool Party, where everything takes on a pink tinge; and one evening party, the Neon Night Party, where everything is illuminated with fluorescent colours. All our guests in Los Cabos, including those staying at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas and, in the future, at the still-unfinished Riu Palace Baja California, will be able to enjoy this new RIU Hotels entertainment concept.
