Riu Plaza Berlin opens in Germany

RIU Hotels & Resorts debuted the Riu Plaza Berlin this past weekend, the company's first urban property to open in Europe. The 17-floor hotel features 357 rooms, including doubles and suites which combine elegant and contemporary interior decoration with all types of amenities, including Internet, flat-screen TV, kettle, minibar and safe-deposit box, among others. In terms of gastronomy, the Riu Plaza Berlin will offer a buffet breakfast, while the à la carte restaurant will open for lunch and dinner; in addition, a lobby bar and a takeaway snack area will be open 24 hours a day. With respect to business tourism, the Riu Plaza Berlin offers six conference and meeting rooms with the capacity to hold a total of 840 people. Later this year, the Riu Plaza line will debut in New York, with the opening of the Riu Plaza New York Times Square.
