RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the Hotel Riu Palace Aruba following a comprehensive renovation designed to modernize the property and enhance the guest experience.

The refurbishment marks another investment by the Spanish hotel company in Aruba, where it has operated since 2007, and upgrades the beachfront resort on Palm Beach.

The renovation includes redesigned public spaces, renovated accommodations, updated dining concepts and refreshed outdoor areas.

Contemporary upgrade

According to RIU, the lobby retains the classic design associated with the Riu Palace brand while introducing more natural light, contemporary materials and a modern aesthetic.

All guest rooms have also been refurbished with light-toned décor and natural materials. Rooms with the resort's premier views have been designated as part of the adults-only Elite Club premium offering.

Thirty-one Elite Club rooms also feature private pools. Guests staying in the category receive access to an exclusive restaurant and a reserved beach area with dedicated bar service.

The company has also overhauled the resort's culinary program, updating menus, ingredients and preparation techniques while redesigning its themed restaurants.

The renovated Hotel Riu Palace Aruba now features the Steakhouse; Don Nicolás, the international buffet restaurant; the fusion-inspired Krystal restaurant; the Asian-themed Sayuri; the Italian restaurant Milano; and two casual dining venues, Pepe's Food and Tiki Taco.

Adult guests at the resort also have access to the weekly RIU Party, held every Friday at the neighbouring Hotel Riu Palace Antillas.

The resort continues to cater to families with an entertainment program for all ages, including the RIU Land kids' club.

RIU also says the oceanfront gardens and pool areas have been completely transformed as part of the project.
