Renovated RIU Palace Tropical Bay will open this October

Closed since Aug. 1 to carry out major renovations, the RIU Palace Tropical Bay in Negril, Jamaica, will finally open on Oct. 20th.

PAX got an exclusive sneak peek of what the resort will look like once completed. 

At first glance, it's impossible to ignore the neat, modern look of the new installations, featuring touches of turquoise and cream. A very successful result!

What to expect

The following additions will be present at the upgraded resort:

• New jerk chicken restaurant on the beach
• New steakhouse 
• New pastry and ice cream parlor, Capucchino 
• New 24-hour lounge
• New bar in the pool 
• Rooms with walk-in shower 
• Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, including rooms 
• 24-hour room service 
• Three pools and a paddling pool 
• One main restaurant and four other à la cartes
