Playa expands portfolio in Mexico with Seadust Cancun Family Resort

Playa Hotels & Resorts is updating its map again with the addition of a new all-inclusive resort.

The company has taken over management at Seadust Cancun Family Resort in Cancun, Mexico, it was announced Wednesday (Feb. 1).

The seventh managed property for the company, Playa will lead all operations, sales and marketing of the resort, and join the company’s portfolio of 23 properties across Mexico and the Caribbean.

Located in the most sought-after area along the white sand beaches on the southern Cancun Hotel Zone, the 502-room resort has 19 restaurants, lounges and bars, a fitness centre and a full-service holistic spa.

Rooms offer views either of the Atlantic or the Nichupté Lagoon.

Guests can enjoy the Treasure Island Water Park which includes slides, a pirate ship, water games and more. For the adults, there is an exclusive Club Caribe swimming pool in addition to one infinity pool, one kid's pool and a baby pool.

As the ninth Playa property in the region, Seadust Cancun will allow the company to further expand its footprint in the region.

According to Playa’s Development Vice President Nicolas Valle: “This resort has tremendous potential for its unique settings and offerings, and its attraction for adults and families alike.”
