Cuba's hotel industry is booming
As Cuba’s leader in tourism operations and development, Gaviota is deeply involved in the growth and expansion of Cuba’s booming hotel industry. Representing more than 50 per cent of hotel properties in the country, Gaviota continues to achieve a 12 per cent annual growth rate in accommodation capacity. The company plans to maintain this upward trend by continuing to honour its high standards in innovation, renovation, and guest services.

To provide better quality destinations for all guests, Gaviota is investing in its facilities to prepare for the upcoming vacation season. As Mr. Latuff and Mr. Oltuski address the Canadian media, they will highlight the following ventures and developments:
- The newly opened 321-room Iberostar Grand Hotel Packard, reinforcing a new standard of luxury in Havana
- The debut of the 250-room Paseo del Prado Hotel, opening in 2019
