“The perfect addition to our portfolio”: Club Med Mont-Tremblant is a go, says deputy CEO
The Club Med in Quebec’s Tremblant area is a go.
What started as a proposed project on Tremblant’s Versant Soleil, on part of the L’Hymne-des-Trembles site, was confirmed as a reality on Wednesday (Sept. 3) by Club Med's Group Deputy CEO and Chief Development Officer Gregory Lanter.
Sharing an update on LinkedIn, Lanter said he and his team were in Mont-Tremblant last week “to take another decisive step” toward making the Tremblant resort – Canada’s second Club Med – happen.
Lanter listed all the reasons why Mont-Tremblant is a good location for the all-inclusive pioneer, noting how the region is a world-class ski destination “with future possibilities" and a “truly international brand, well-known across North America and beyond,” the area’s strong year-round appeal, with “summer as powerful as winter,” and its seamless global connectivity via Montreal airport.

“For Club Med, Mont-Tremblant is the perfect addition to our portfolio before entering the U.S. ski market – the largest in the world,” wrote Lanter. “For Mont-Tremblant, Club Med will be a booster for the local economy, bringing a new international clientele and creating around 300 jobs.”

He went on to say how Club Med “often goes beyond its role as operator.”
“Instead of simply waiting for ready-made opportunities from investors and developers, we sometimes act as developer ourselves: scouting unique spots, securing land and permits, designing and building, and ultimately delivering tailor-made projects to investors,” he wrote. “That’s how our resorts resonate so strongly with our guests, our teams, and our brand promise.”
Now comes “the exciting part,” he concluded.
“Financing Mont-Tremblant and moving toward a 2026 construction start.”
Climb every mountain
As previously reported, the project will result in a brand-new all-inclusive Club Med resort with 300 high-end rooms.
It’s spearheaded by Brivia Group, a real estate developer known for projects that blend contemporary elegance, architectural excellence, and refined design.
Club Med will lead the development of the hospitality side, allowing Brivia to focus on delivering the residential phases of L’Hymne-des-Trembles while ensuring a seamless integration between the residential and tourism elements of the site.

The property is also expected to promote local stakeholder engagement through partnerships related to excursion activities, services, and sourcing local products, while promising a smooth corporate and community integration for Club Med staff within the local area.
“From the beginning, the parties have prioritized close collaboration with the city of Mont Tremblant, demonstrating a clear commitment to ensures the project’s harmonious integration into its natural, social, and cultural environment,” said Club Med in a press release.
For the Mont-Tremblant project, Club Med is targeting BREEAM certification at the “Very Good” level - an internationally recognized environmental building standard, as well as Green Globe certification for sustainable operations.

The new resort would build on the success of Club Med Québec Charlevoix, Canada’s first all-inclusive mountain resort, which, since opening in 2021, has welcomed over 130,000 guests in four years with an average occupancy rate of 75 per cent.
In an interview with PAX earlier this year, Carolyne Doyon, Club Med’s president and CEO for North America and the Caribbean, described Tremblant as “extremely important” to the brand’s efforts to expand its presence in the English Canada market.
