More details revealed on Club Med's first Canadian property
Canada will see its first Club Med property by the start of the 2020 ski season, when a $120 million ski village opens its doors in Quebec’s Le Massif, Charlevoix region.
The project, involving both Groupe Le Massif and Club Med, will see the development of a four-season mountain resort offering 300 rooms, including 4-Trident Club and Deluxe-level rooms with a 5-Trident luxury space. The village will be located 90 minutes from Quebec International Airport.
“It’s often said that you’ll only ever find a Club Med resort in the most beautiful places in the world,” said Xavier Mufraggi, president and CEO, Club Med North America. “Charlevoix doesn’t need to have a Club Med to be included on this select list. That said, it is an honour and privilege to be amongst those creating worldwide awareness for this spectacular part of the country.”
Plans to develop partnerships with other suppliers are already in place, said Club Med. The new property will join more than 20 Club Med ski villages already established in France, Italy, Switzerland, Japan and China, counting for more than 6,000 rooms worldwide; through 2019. Club Med will open one to two mountain resorts per year.
