Melia to open new Florida property this year

Meliá Hotels International announced that it will open and manage the newly constructed Meliá Costa Hollywood Beach Resort in the Hollywood - Fort Lauderdale area of South Florida this year, the company’s second property under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts’ brand in the U.S. The new project will consist of a combination of 304 fully furnished hotel and residential “smart units,” ranging from studios to one, two and three bedrooms as part of a new six-storey Costa Hollywood Beach Resort community. Each room will feature a sleek interior design and will come equipped with a multilingual electronic concierge, flat screen televisions complete with movies on demand, full kitchens with energy efficient appliances and a state-of-the-art automated valet parking system. Guests will also be able to take advantage of a spa and fitness facility, a rooftop infinity pool and sun deck, fine dining restaurants and other amenities, including in-room dining service, a gourmet coffee shop, rooftop bar and grill and a business center.
