Marriott International has signed off on an All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy property – its first all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic – in the coastal town of Miches on the northeast coast.
Marriott Miches Beach, which is currently the Sunrise Miches Beach Resort, will undergo a conversion process commencing in the second quarter of 2024, according to a news release. The resort is slated to open under the Marriott Hotels brand in the first quarter of 2025.
Set on a sprawling 62-acre site, about 60-minute drive from Punta Cana airport, the resort boasts nearly 1,000 feet of pristine beachfront.
It will feature 498 rooms, with balconies and terraces, and select accommodations offering private swim-up pools.
The hotelier is promising all sorts of amenities, including a spa with more than ten treatment rooms, a retail area, three expansive pools with poolside bars, six restaurants, three pop-up venues, and bars, a serene jacuzzi lounge, approximately 8,600 square feet of indoor meeting space, a discotheque, and a fully equipped gym.
Following the announcement of the first Marriott All-Inclusive Resort, in Cancun (Mexico) in late 2023 (set to open in March 2024), the Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort, Dominican Republic, joins a portfolio of worldwide properties debuting into Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive flagship throughout 2024 and 2025, including Marriott Puerto Vallarta, An All-Inclusive Resort and Marriott Djerba, An All-Inclusive Resort - Tunisia.
