Hyatt to open two Sunscape Resorts in the Dominican Republic

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced it will launch two Sunscape Resorts & Spas in the Dominican Republic, both of which are expected to open on January 15, 2024.

As announced earlier this year, a multi-property collaboration with Be Live Hotels will mark the growth of the Sunscape Resorts & Spas brand in the Caribbean, expanding the Inclusive Collection portfolio by nearly 2,000 rooms.

Two Be Live Hotels properties are now in the process of being renovated and transformed into Sunscape Resorts & Spas.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana

Set on Bavaro Beach, Sunscape Coco Punta Cana promises an exciting experience for guests of all ages through an Unlimited-Fun® getaway, with amenities including 14 dining experiences; ten bars and lounges; a spa with beach gazebo; daily and nightly entertainment for all ages; and pool and beach wait service.

The resort’s 1,055 guest rooms feature private terraces, while family room categories include three-bedroom suites with bunk beds for children. 

Other on-site amenities include a casino with a disco for up to 400 people; Explorer’s Club for Kids ages 3-12 with supervised activity programs daily, including a splash park; a Core Zone Teens’ Club for teens ages 13-17; and more than 6,450 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Sunscape Dominicus La Roman

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana is set along Playa Dominicus, Bayahibe, with close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island, and Altos de Chavón. 

The resort’s 854 guest rooms include Junior Suites and Family Villas with views of the beach, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and fauna.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana offers a variety of Unlimited-Fun® amenities, including daily land and water activities for all ages, as well as live music and entertainment; 11 dining options; ten bars and lounges, including exclusive adults-only lounge and bar area; pool and beach wait service; and a spa.

Other on-site features include Explorer’s Club for Kids ages 3-12 with supervised activity programs daily, including a splash park; and a Core Zone Teens’ Club for teens ages 13-17; as well as 5,070 sq. ft. of meeting space.
