The Grand Velas resorts in Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit and Los Cabos have announced SE SPA by Grand Velas, a new spa concept inspired by the changing pattern of the season.

Meaning ‘one’ in Aztec, the word SE was chosen by spa consultant Diana Mestre to symbolize the human journey to self-discovery and renewal. Following the changing pattern of the seasons, each of the award-winning spas will follow a specific wellness path represented by a totem, in honour of the ancient Mayan and Aztec traditions.

SE SPA revolves around nature and the four seasons, providing spa guests with subtle changes in flavours, aromas and other elements each season to create new experiences.

In February, March and April, SE SPA celebrates renewal, with floral scents such as lavender, jasmine and neroli prevalent. In May, June and July, spa treatments are inspired by summer aromas such as citrus, orange blossom, verbena and lime. In August, September and October, the autumn menu includes herbal tones and scents such as rosemary, mint and eucalyptus, while in November, December and January, the winter menu is characterized by cedar, incense and cinnamon.
