Grand Hyatt to make a splash in Cancun with new all-inclusive resort
Grand Hyatt is preparing to make its Cancun debut with a new 500-room all-inclusive resort.
In a press release, Hyatt Hotels Corporation said Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort is expected to open in December, bringing the luxury brand’s “destination within a destination” concept to the Mexican Caribbean.
Owned by Grupo Diestra, the resort will be located within Puerto Cancun, a private, gated waterfront community with a marina, golf course, shopping and dining. Cancun International Airport is approximately 25 minutes away, while the city’s Hotel Zone and other attractions will also be within easy reach.
“Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort will offer guests the opportunity to experience the destination through a fully all-inclusive experience defined by best-in-class accommodations and exceptional hospitality,” said Omar Vázquez, general manager of Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort, in a press release.
“Guests can immerse themselves in Puerto Cancun, with its vibrant marina, white-sand beaches and privileged location, while enjoying beautifully designed rooms and suites alongside the culinary, wellness and entertainment experiences they expect from a Hyatt resort. Every detail will be thoughtfully curated through the Grand Hyatt lens and commitment to creating elevated stays that feel both effortless and unforgettable.”
500 rooms, 14 dining venues
Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort will feature 500 guestrooms, including 47 suites, each with a private terrace overlooking the ocean or marina.

Select suites will come with private pools, while Grand Club rooms will include access to the Grand Club, a private lounge offering continental breakfast, afternoon cocktails and other exclusive experiences.
The property will also incorporate Mexican art throughout its design. An installation by artist Teresa Solar will greet guests at the resort entrance, while tiles created by Mexican artist and designer María Pizarro will appear throughout the property.
Dining will play a significant role in the resort’s all-inclusive offering, with 14 food and beverage outlets planned.
Among them are Quattro, serving Northern Italian cuisine; sushi and omakase concept Fiera San; international restaurant Kaab; Bistrot Cigalette, a French restaurant by chef Thierry Blouet; and Chacho and Los Fuegos del Sur, showcasing Argentine and Uruguayan-inspired cuisine.
Other options will include Mona Limona, Leonora’s Boulevardier Bar & Terraza, Saká pool bar, Grand Café & Market, Fiera Tacos and Paradiso.
Nine pools, beach club & spa
For wellness, the resort’s Ritua Sanctuary Spa will take inspiration from local traditions and feature outdoor relaxation spaces, a traditional temazcal, fitness centre and hammock lounges, alongside a menu of treatments.
There will also be nine multi-level outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool, infinity pool and a pool at the resort’s private Beach Club.
The Beach Club will have its own restaurant and offer aquatic activities such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding.
Guests will also be able to arrange yacht and sailing experiences from the nearby marina, as well as excursions to coral reefs, cenotes and archaeological sites. Families, meanwhile, will have access to a dedicated Grand Kids Club.
Built for groups, too
Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort is also positioning itself for the meetings, incentives and events market.
Approximately 30,000 square feet of flexible indoor event space will be available on one level, supplemented by terraces, beach venues and poolside settings.
Facilities will include a Great Ballroom that can be divided into eight sections, two breakout rooms and a boardroom, allowing the resort to accommodate everything from smaller meetings to large-scale celebrations and events.
The opening will expand Hyatt’s all-inclusive presence in the Mexican Caribbean while introducing the Grand Hyatt brand to Cancun for the first time.
