Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica to exit Hyatt's Inclusive Collection

Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica will soon no longer be affiliated with Hyatt or the Inclusive Collection, according to a notice that was sent to the travel trade community on March 7. 

The change will take effect on Monday, June 30, 2025, wrote Irene Prado, regional vice-president, commercial, Latin America and English-speaking Caribbean at the Inclusive Collection.

Guests with existing reservations at Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica from June 30 onward may have their stays honoured at their current rate at multiple family-friendly resorts within Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Colombia or Curaçao, “or they may cancel their stay without penalty,” Prado wrote.

“A resort representative will be in touch to discuss next steps for affected guests.”

“We thank you for your understanding through this transition,” Prado wrote.

The 447-suite beachfront resort, the first Dreams in Costa Rica, opened in November 2014 in the northern Guanacaste region, about a 90-minute drive from Liberia Airport. It also marked AMResorts' (now Hyatt's Inclusive Collection) debut in the country. 

PAX reached out to the team at Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica to find out what's next for the property. In a response, the hotel said it didn't have any official information yet on what the hotel will become after July 1, but will keep us posted.
