(theverandahantigua.com)

Ahead of its November 17th reopening, the all-inclusive Verandah Antigua is offering a fifth night for free on all bookings made by Oct. 31, 2023.

The offer is valid for travel through March 31, 2024, presenting an ideal opportunity to experience the reimagined adults-only retreat.

Located 25 minutes from V.C. Bird International Airport, The Verandah is the fourth resort in the Elite Island Resorts’ Antigua portfolio catering to ages 16 and over, offering guests a destination that promises relaxation and sophistication.

"The Verandah is a remarkable location—it’s truly a destination within a destination—and with this renovation and our transition to adults-only, we are answering the call of many of our travel partners and guests,” said Rob Barrett, chairman of Elite Island Resorts, in a press release in August. “This transformation reflects our commitment to offering travelers an unparalleled experience that harmonizes contemporary luxury with the timeless allure of the Caribbean. It's not just a reopening; it's a new chapter in the journey of our beloved destination.”

Situated on 30 acres on Antigua's northeast coast, surrounded by natural beauty, The Verandah's extensive renovations and upgrades have preserved its Caribbean character while introducing contemporary design elements and state-of-the-art amenities, while honouring the ecosystem that surrounds it.

By exclusively catering to adults, the resort promises an environment of tranquility and refined indulgence for romantics, friends and groups alike, where they can enjoy secluded beaches, unwind by the pools, partake in a host of land and water sports, and explore the lush landscapes that have long defined the resort's appeal.

Property enhancements

The property’s updates include enhanced accommodations – 180 open-plan suites, with the option to be waterfront, water view, or hillside. The new ambiance is set to be lighter, brighter, and more contemporary.

The Verandah has five restaurants, offering international cuisine to locally-inspired dishes.

On the activity side, there are four newly-added courts for pickleball and tennis matches, and a renovated 18-hole mini-golf course, the largest on the island, and of the region.

Sports enthusiasts can now hang out at the latest addition of the Wavy Wicket —a sports-themed bar designed as a lively island pub.

This indoor haven features large-screen televisions, handcrafted cocktails, ice-cold beer, and bar bites.

From movies and sporting events to late-night karaoke, this is the heart of the resort's vibrant nightlife while live poolside entertainment adds a touch of rhythm to the day.

The resort’s Tranquility Body & Soul Spa has also received a facelift complete with revamped treatment rooms, new amenities, added spa and salon services to its menu.

Meanwhile, all non-motorized water activities are included in the price. This includes a four-person Hobie Cat sailboat, snorkelling gear, kayaks, pedal boats and stand-up paddle boards.

Beyond the resort, the tour desk can book excursions to engaging historical sites like Admiral Horatio Nelson’s Dockyard, on zip-line trips through the rainforest, out scuba diving or sport fishing, or on an island tour with Pink Panther Safaris.

The Verandah also introduces dine-around privileges, allowing guests to explore the culinary offerings of sister resorts, Pineapple Beach Club and St. James's Club & Villas, offering a fusion of gourmet experiences.

Rates start at $599 per room, per night and are inclusive of luxury accommodations, all meals (except for an additional supplement at Nicole’s) and drinks by the glass, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and activities.
