Blue Diamond Resorts takes over the Inglaterra Hotel in Havana

As part of its expansion in Cuba, Sunwing Travel Group-owned Blue Diamond Resorts with Grupo Gran Caribe has announced that, as of Nov. 1, 2022, they will take take over the operation and management of the Inglaterra Hotel, one of the oldest properties in Havana. 

This 83-room hotel will continue to operate under its own name, maintaining its legacy as a National Monument and the ideal place for architecture and history lovers. 

Its neoclassical style, in harmony with the strong Mudejar accent of its decorations, are part of the essence of this property that includes within its offerings a variety of amenities, five gastronomic options and bars, as well as terraces with panoramic views of the city.

“We want to offer a wide variety of accommodation options to provide the best experiences. Operating the Inglaterra Hotel, which for many years has been a symbol of elegance and history in Havana, will allow us to increase our business opportunities with our partners and reach more vacationers who want to discover the charms of the colonial city”, said Mohamad Fawzi, managing director for Blue Diamond Resorts Cuba.

Its strategic location in the cultural epicenter of the Cuban capital will also allow its guests to have access to a variety of sites of interest such as the National Capitol, Old Havana, the Grand National Theater and the Fine Arts National Museum.

Blue Diamond Resorts Cuba, the hotel management company, continues to join forces with relevant companies to add new properties to its portfolio that are suitable for all types of guests, such as those announced in recent months including the opening of Royalton Habana, Mystique Habana by Royalton and its eleven properties in Cayo Largo del Sur.
