AMResorts has expanded its Secrets Resorts & Spas brand with the opening of the all-new Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, bringing its portfolio to 15 properties total with two in the Dominican Republic.

With a $160 million investment, and creating more than 650 direct jobs, the new adults-only, luxury resort sits within the exclusive gated community of Cap Cana along Juanillo Beach.

Boasting 457 rooms, the property features an expansive infinity pool, seven gourmet à la carte restaurants, a snack-barbecue area, six bars, a nightclub and gym raises the bar on adults-only luxury.

Resort guests can also enjoy the beauty of surrounding lush, tropical gardens, and gain access to Punta Espada Golf Course designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, a marina, stables, an equestrian center with polo fields and world-class fishery.

“Cap Cana is truly an ecological paradise developed for elegant living that plays exceptionally well with the high expectations of today’s sophisticated traveler,” Alejandro Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group, stated in a release. “This newest addition to the AMResorts Collection in the Dominican Republic is a game changer for the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand.”

The resort officially opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony last week. Attendees included Dominican Republic Minister of Tourism Francisco Javier García and Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina.
