4 luxury all-inclusives for a romantic holiday in Punta Cana

4 luxury all-inclusives for a romantic holiday in Punta Cana

At the invitation of Transat, PAX visited four magnificent hotels located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, which are part of the tour operator's Luxury Collection.

These four properties are enjoyed by those looking for a couple's holiday, whether it's to celebrate a birthday, a honeymoon, or simply to enjoy a week of vacation in pure relaxation.

Here are the four properties:

Excellence de Carmen

This new all-inclusive has just celebrated its first birthday, and boasts 492 suites for adults-only. Its trademark: clean and efficient buildings and huge, highly functional suites.

The beach, with its large palm trees that are practically in the water, is absolutely beautiful, and the most beautiful that we saw during this week in Punta Cana. Twelve restaurants, 16 bars and a beautiful spa with a hydrotherapy circuit complete the picture.

The all-inclusive has a total of 19 categories of suites, ranging from the junior suite with spa, through the suite with roof terrace or suite with private pool.

Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro

Another hotel, another atmosphere. Also dedicated to an adult clientele, the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro has a classic atmosphere.

All 272 rooms are arranged in a large U-shaped building, with a lagoon in the centre that replicates a Spanish galleon. The rooms overlook either the gardens, the back, or the lagoon, with partial views of the Caribbean Sea.

Vacationers will be pampered with the personalized service of a concierge. Do you wake up every morning at 8:00 a.m and immediately want an espresso when you get out of bed? The concierge will make it happen!

As in every Iberostar, gastronomy will satisfy the most capricious palates.

This hotel is for couples who dream of luxury, and love the idea of being in a colonial palace, where the architecture exudes strong reinforcement of columns and beautiful mosaics on the ground.

Secrets Cap Cana

This is another adults-only, all-inclusive property that has just celebrated its first birthday. The Secrets Cap Cana, the second Secrets of Punta Cana, opened at the end of last year.

Its large white buildings, with wooden balconies, are spread over the property. The rooms, rather dark in color, are spacious, with a beautiful bathroom and a balcony with a spa, which is perfect for taking a bath under the stars.

The all-inclusive has an exclusive section, the Preferred Club, for an even more exceptional experience. Sections of the beach and private pool, a la carte restaurants for lunch and dinner and private lounge will delight guests.

We particularly enjoyed the hotel's main pool, which although can sometimes get noisy with entertainment, offers a great view of the beach and the Caribbean Sea.

With its beautiful white buildings, some guests will have the impression of having traveled to Greece!

Paradisus Punta Cana

The Paradisus Punta Cana is a huge all-inclusive reinforces its connections to the nature surrounding it. Upon arrival at the tropical lobby, we saw some flamingos lounging in the water.

Unlike the other three hotels mentioned above, this is not an adults-only only hotel. However, the Paradisus Punta Cana has a Royal Service section, reserved for guests over 18 years old, with a private lounge, swimming pool and restaurant, as well as the services of a concierge at the beach who reserve and prepare your chairs.

The rooms are beautiful, and no, it is not a real aquarium in the room, but an extremely realistic fresco! The big plus of this all-inclusive lies in its beautiful tropical gardens, where it is nice to walk amongst the many small fountains near restaurants. This section of the hotel is particularly enjoyable and very relaxing for the mind.
