Trevello dominates Global Piton Awards in Saint Lucia

Trevello is celebrating an “extraordinary milestone” in Canadian travel, with three of its independent advisors named recipients of a 2026 Global Piton Award.

The Pitons are considered to be one of the most prestigious recognitions bestowed by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority on travel professionals worldwide.

In a year when only five Canadian advisors earned this elite honour, Trevello claimed three of those coveted spots, said the host agency.

This year’s Piton winners from Trevello were: 

• Lois Barbour – Travel Time
• Kim Hartlen  - Kim Hartlen Travel
• Jennifer Gaskell – Pink Palm Travel

The awards recognize advisors whose exceptional sales performance, destination advocacy, and client dedication have made a measurable, lasting impact on Saint Lucia’s tourism industry, and their name pays tribute to Saint Lucia’s iconic Piton Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Lois Barbour earns CEO Award

One standout moment was Trevello advisor Lois Barbour being presented with the CEO Award for Canada – the highest individual distinction of the event.

“It is a remarkable personal achievement and a proud moment for every advisor in the Trevello family,” said the host agency in a press release.

Hartlen, Barbour, and Gaskell, each representing a different province (and corner of the Canadian market) were welcomed to Saint Lucia for an exclusive recognition program June 11–15, 2026, featuring destination immersion experiences, cultural celebrations, and the prestigious Global Piton Awards Soirée.

“This recognition speaks to the passion, expertise, and dedication that our advisors bring to their clients every day. To have three of the five Canadian recipients come from the Trevello,  is nothing short of extraordinary. It is a powerful statement about the calibre of professionals who call Trevello home,” said Zeina Gedeon, CEO of Trevello Travel Group, in a statement.

Across Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Ontario, the three advisors – each with their own clients, stories, and businesses – "independently built track records so exceptional that they rose to the very top of an international recognition program," said Trevello. 

“The fact the three of them share a network is no coincidence,” said the company, extending its congratulations to its winning advisors.

“It speaks to a culture within Trevello that champions destination mastery, continuous learning, and the kind of client relationships that turn travel into transformation."

The other Piton winners from Canada were Phillip Newton Bastiampillai of Travelair Inc. and Alicia DaSilva of Luxe Destination Weddings.

This year’s awards recognized 34 travel advisors from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean who generated the highest number of room nights for the destination during the 2025 calendar year.
