Wondering what events are taking place in the Caribbean? There's a new calendar for that

One Caribbean Canada has launched its first Caribbean Events Calendar, now available on its website, OneCaribbeanCanada.ca.
The new resource, offered in both English and French, highlights the diverse and vibrant events taking place across the Caribbean throughout the year.
From the colourful Carnivals and culinary festivals to thrilling sailing regattas and world-renowned musical events, the calendar provides an easy-to-navigate listing of events in chronological order, making it easier for Canadians to plan their travels and immerse themselves in the rich culture of the Caribbean.
Whether it's exploring the festive spirit of Grenada’s Spicemas, experiencing a beachfront culinary event in the Cayman Islands or an exciting sailing regatta in Antigua and Barbuda, One Caribbean Canada’s new calendar has it all.
“We’re thrilled to introduce our inaugural Caribbean Event Calendar,” said Nancy Drolet, dounder of One Caribbean Canada. “Canadians have a deep appreciation for the vibrant cultural events the Caribbean offers. This calendar allows them to discover events that resonate with them, and perhaps even inspire them to explore a Caribbean destination they may not have considered before.”
In addition to the calendar, One Caribbean Canada recently hosted a successful trade event, “The Caribbean Beats the January Blues,” in Burlington, ON.
The event featured 11 Caribbean countries and was held at a local community centre, ensuring an authentic experience for travel advisors. The team collaborated with a Caribbean caterer, bringing the island flavours and cultural richness directly to the heart of the event, further highlighting the vibrant culture of the Caribbean.
A valuable resource
One Caribbean Canada’s website is designed to be consumer-friendly while also offering full support for the travel trade community.
The site is not a booking platform but rather a hub of information, providing users with everything they need to plan their next Caribbean getaway.
With 21 Caribbean member countries, 32 hotels, and one airline – Caribbean Airlines – the website is a valuable resource for Canadians seeking detailed, up-to-date information about travel, events, and culture in the Caribbean.
The Caribbean members say they are committed to supporting travel advisors across Canada and offer valuable resources for advisors who want to help clients explore the region.
Since its launch less than a year ago, OneCaribbeanCanada.ca has made significant strides in enhancing the travel experience for Canadians. Alongside the event calendar, the site now includes valuable information on how to get married in the Caribbean, health and medical resources (including locations of hyperbaric chambers for divers), and accessible travel options throughout the region.
The website also features essential details for Canadians looking to explore island-hopping possibilities with a comprehensive list of public ferries.
“Our goal is to provide Canadians with the tools they need to explore new destinations and hotels, and make the most of their Caribbean adventures,” said Drolet. “We’re committed to promoting the entire region and supporting our Canadian Travel Advisors in their efforts to sell the Caribbean. Recently we added Guyana and Nicaragua as new destinations, so we invite our travel partners and their clients to explore these new countries as well.”
