Skål Toronto to host event in celebration of two-club merger

Skål’s two Toronto clubs have announced they will officially unite after 20 years of operating as separate entities.

This merger marks a new era of collaboration and unity, reinforcing Skål International’s mission of promoting collaboration and professional networking among tourism leaders worldwide.

The decision to unite the two clubs comes after extensive discussions and a shared vision to create a stronger, more dynamic organization representing the diverse and evolving tourism sector in Toronto.

By consolidating resources and expertise, the newly unified Skål Toronto will offer enhanced networking opportunities, educational initiatives and industry advocacy to its members.

“This is a historic moment for Skål Toronto,” said Susan Webb, president of Skål Toronto. “After 20 years, uniting our two clubs strengthens our presence in the industry and enhances opportunities for collaboration and growth.”

To celebrate the merger, Skål Toronto is throwing an event under its joint banner on Feb. 25, hosted and sponsored by Little Canada. President of Skål Canada Susan Wilkinson will also be attending the festivities.

Its president and CEO, Brad Ford, is graciously welcoming Skål members and industry guests for what is sure to be a fun and exciting evening.

A special Skål member rate of $99 is available, with a guest rate of $120 to anyone interested in attending. All Skål members are encouraged to bring new potential members to the event. There will also a special room rate for attendees available at the Chelsea Hotel.
