Sandals, Jamaica celebrate big wins at World Travel Awards

Sandals and Beaches Resorts, along with the destination of Jamaica, are celebrating big wins at this year’s World Travel Awards.

Sandals Resorts International (SRI), parent company of Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts, received 16 honours at this year’s event, which was held at Sandals Grande St. Lucian on Oct. 4.

Among celebratory toasts, Sandals was named the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Brand for the 32nd year in a row.

Beaches Turks & Caicos also celebrated its 18th win as the Caribbean’s Leading All-Inclusive Family Resort, a recognition that comes ahead of the debut of its Treasure Beach Village, the resort’s US$150 million expansion set to open Spring 2026.

Other key wins include Sandals Dunn’s River, recognized as the Caribbean’s Leading Luxury All-Inclusive Resort for the third year in a row after opening its doors in 2023, and Sandals South Coast, awarded the Caribbean’s Most Romantic Resort.

The 16 awards won under Sandals Resorts International’s portfolio are:

  • Caribbean's Most Romantic Resort 2025: Sandals South Coast, Jamaica
  • Bahamas' Leading All-Inclusive Resort 2025: Sandals Royal Bahamian

Jamaica wins multiple awards 

Jamaica itself was also once again honoured across multiple categories.

"Jamaica continues to punch above its weight by surpassing expectations in its hospitality delivery. These accolades underpin the excellent contribution of our people, who are at the heart of the sector. We are truly grateful for this recognition and proud as we are on the cusp of welcoming million visitors to our shores and earning US5billion for our economy," said Minister of Tourism, Hon Edmund Bartlett, in a press release.

Among the numerous awards conferred, Jamaica claimed top honours in the following key categories: Caribbean's Leading Cruise Destination and Caribbean's Leading Destination. Several of the island's key partners in the category of airport, cruise and hotels were also recognized.

"Our island continues to be top of mind through our authentic tourism experiences from food to music and this recognition cements Jamaica as a top tier destination. Thanks to all our partners who have worked hard to remain consistent and unique," said Donovan White, director of tourism at the Jamaica Tourist Board, in a statement.
