Despite market uncertainties related to the U.S. trade war, Brand USA will once again host its Canada Connect event – a multi-city series of events designed to deepen the connections between Canadian travel professionals and U.S. destinations.

Taking place from April 28 – May 2, 2025, Canada Connect East will span two key eastern Canadian markets: Toronto and Montreal.

With the recovery of international travel and shifting travel trends on both sides of the border, Canada Connect East arrives “at a pivotal moment,” reads a press release that was issued.

“These events provide a meaningful space for industry professionals to come together, exchange insights, and reimagine how we promote U.S. travel experiences to Canadian audiences in 2025 and beyond,” says Brand USA.

Canada Connect aims to offer market insights, one-on-one and networking opportunities designed to foster impactful, long-term partnerships between U.S. travel brands and Canadian media, trade, and tour operators.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing Canada Connect to the market for a second year” said Jackie Ennis, vice-president, global trade development, in a statement. “Canada is the top international market for visitation to the USA and this multi-city series provides the opportunity to deliver key updates and share the stories of our incredible partners across the United States as we strengthen our in-market relationships and deepen connections with our northern neighbours, coast to coast.”

Making the connection

Canada Connect was launched in 2024, creating a new opportunity for U.S. suppliers to connect directly with the Canadian travel trade and delve into new market partnerships and relationships.

From expert market insights to 1:1 business meetings to prize giveaways, the event has been praised for its effectiveness, intimacy, and value in fostering long-term relationships.

"As we return to host Canada Connect, we want to underscore the significance of Canadian market to the U.S. travel industry. This event allows us the opportunity to continue meaningful conversations and strengthen working ties we have developed over decades." said Casey Canevari, director of global trade development in Canada for Brand USA, in a statement.

What to expect in 2025

Canada Connect East will kick off in Toronto on April 28 at the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, before heading to Montreal on May 1 at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel. Parking will be provided for all invited guests.

The program includes
