Windstar Cruises introduces new “Quick Getaways” in Europe for 2026
Windstar Cruises is launching a new series of short European sailings, dubbed “Quick Getaways,” starting in spring 2026.
The new product line includes 3- to 5-night itineraries that pair marquee destinations with smaller, less-frequented ports—offering what the cruise line describes as a more flexible, bite-sized version of its classic yacht-style experience.
In total, five itineraries will be offered across nine departure dates.
According to Windstar, the shorter sailings are intended to appeal to travellers who may already be in Europe for business or a land-based vacation, or those looking to try a Windstar cruise without committing to a full week at sea.
“These new sailings are designed for spontaneity and simplicity,” said Jess Peterson, director of itinerary planning at Windstar Cruises.
“They're the perfect way to experience the Windstar style of travel—especially if you're already traveling for work or play in Europe. With overnight flights from the East Coast, you can be sailing beneath the Tower Bridge or sipping wine in Southern France with minimal jet lag and no time wasted.”
Windstar says the itineraries include experiences that are typically only possible on small ships, such as passing under London’s Tower Bridge or docking in compact ports like Collioure.
The cruises can also be paired with longer Windstar voyages for extended itineraries.
Quick Getaway itineraries include:
A Taste of Southern France (3 nights): Includes kayaking near Sète, exploring Collioure and visiting Carcassonne.
La Dolce Vita in Italy & France (3 nights): Features Corsican markets, Tuscan wine and coastal sailing.
Belgium: A Sweet Getaway (3 nights): Highlights include Bruges, Belgian chocolate and local architecture.
St. Malo Getaway (4 nights): Begins with a transit under London’s Tower Bridge, followed by stops along France’s northern coast, including Mont St. Michel.
An early booking promotion is available through August 31, 2025.
Guests can receive special pricing, up to $200 USD in onboard credit per stateroom, and an All-In package (alcohol, gratuities, and Wi-Fi) valued at $99 USD per person, per day.
An additional 5% savings is available with the code PIF for guests who pay in full at the time of booking.
Windstar says more short European sailings are planned for 2027, with full itinerary details expected in September 2025 when the next Europe deployment is announced.
