Valiant Lady returns from dry dock with reimagined spaces, new concepts
Valiant Lady is back.
Fresh from dry dock, Virgin Voyages' second Lady Ship returns renewed and reimagined, with new dining, redesigned spaces and a wave of 20+ new Happenings that bring fresh energy to every deck.
From the Mediterranean this summer to San Juan this fall, Valiant Lady returns with more ways cruise.
As per a press release, all 1,300+ Crew completed a "Virgin Way" culture booster, and “the result is a ship that feels more connected, more social and more alive,” the company said.
"Valiant Lady was already one of the most compelling ships at sea, but we kept asking ourselves how to make her even more worth coming back for," said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages, in a press release.
"The best transformations don't come from smooth sailing but from listening, pushing further and creating something truly special. From Ariya to The Manor to a completely reimagined lineup of Happenings, Valiant Lady returns with a new energy our Sailors will feel immediately. Every one of our 1,300+ Crew has been through The Virgin Way, and that reignited culture is the linchpin to the service Sailors keep coming back for."
What’s new?
Ariya by Razzle Dazzle - Ariya seats 220 Sailors in a striking space inspired by India’s spice markets, with a menu that travels the length of the country — from Lamb Shank Biryani to Puffed Rice and Avocado Chaat — alongside cocktails built from the same regional influences.

Named for Sir Richard Branson’s great-great-grandmother, a Tamil Nadu traveller who believed food could cross oceans more easily than language, "Ariya adds soul, colour and story to the ship’s already award-winning dining lineup," the cruise line said.
"Ariya is the most personal restaurant Virgin Voyages has ever built and gives advisors a new hook for clients who may have sailed Virgin Voyages before and want to know what's changed."

The Athletic Club - New shaded daybed clusters and updated lounge seating oriented toward the ocean bring more comfort, shade and room to exhale in one of Valiant Lady’s most-loved outdoor spaces.
The Roundabout - Refreshed in Valiant Lady’s signature plum with new furniture groupings, The Roundabout now feels like the kind of place Sailors claim early and keep coming back to.

Grounds Club Too - Still serving Intelligentsia Coffee all day, Grounds Club Too now evolves into a full bar from late afternoon onward — an easy pre-dinner ritual and a low-key landing spot after a show.
The Manor - The raised platforms have been removed, opening up the dance floor and giving the room the space it always deserved — with more freedom, movement and late-night electricity.

On the Rocks - A relocated stage improves sightlines across the ship’s center bar, with additional seating and reason to settle in.
The Dock - A new stage setup and windscreen make outdoor performances more comfortable in changing conditions, protecting the sunset-to-starlight magic that makes The Dock such a Sailor favourite.
Retail - TAG and Pandora join the onboard shop lineup, while the VV Brand shop moves into a bigger, more prominent space that reflects just how much the brand, and the love around it, has grown.

What’s playing?
By early Q3, Sailors will discover more than 20 new Happenings across the Red Room, The Manor, The Roundabout, The Perch, dining venues and late-night social spaces, from big-stage crowd moments to intimate experiences that feel like the secret party you stumbled into.
“The goal is bigger laughs, louder rooms, slower rituals, stronger connections and another reason to say yes to one more thing before calling it a night,” the cruise line said.
In the Red Room, new main-stage moments promise high-impact.
Sink or Swim turns the theatre into a high-stakes game show where every decision pushes Sailors closer to reward or disaster, while Sports Smarts blends sports trivia with physical challenges for a fast, loud, highly participatory takeover.
In The Manor, Pay Attent!on broadcasts unpredictable vintage TV game show vibes, and Nice Box! unpacks mystery retail in a way only the Diva could.
After dark, the energy shifts into something bolder, messier and more deliciously social.
Concepts like Dirty Laundry turn strangers into teammates, secrets into conversation starters and the room itself into the show, while Off the Record is a high-stakes social strategy game of secrets and betrayal.

The new lineup also leans into Virgin Voyages’ food-and-drink credentials with flavour-first Happenings led by The Foodie that feel unmistakably Virgin:
Extra Virgin: Aperitivo Club explores classic spritzes, premium olive oils, and the art (and science) behind pasta pairings.
Trust Your Tongue tests unconventional culinary combos while rating and ranking these unusual flavors at Test Kitchen.
Espresso Yourself pours three espresso martinis, live music, and coffee-inspired art, into a tasting that becomes more than just a drink.
Sweet Aft Matcha invites Sailors to get their whisk on while sampling the rich history, flavour pairings and versatile delights of matcha.
For Sailors looking for something softer or more restorative, the slate expands into daytime creativity and wellness.
Silent Sweat offers a headphone-led reset at The Perch, VHS Volume 2: The Great British Burn Off brings Britpop irreverence to fitness, and hands-on concepts like Upcycle Club, Knot Today and Hooked turn reclaimed materials, ropework and crochet into tactile take-home memories.
Meanwhile, “Extra! Extra!” turns strange headlines and surprising stories into a fast-paced newsroom of creative chaos, while “Check, Please” brings Sir Richard Branson's lifelong love of chess to sea in a social tournament format that is equal parts strategy and spectacle, and “Knees Up” pours a pint of a proper pub quiz at sea.
Elsewhere, Destination Unknown, Stargazers, Till Bar Do Us Part-y and Sun Society give the ship even more range, from map-based adventure and mythmaking under the stars to poolside glamour where leisure is practiced with intention.
Where she’s sailing
Valiant Lady begins with the Italian Grand Tour, French Riviera and Ibiza.
Her Northern Explorer series sails from Amsterdam through Iceland, while a special Total Eclipse of the Med itinerary gives Sailors the rare chance to experience totality on open water.
In October, she repositions to San Juan for six- to eight-night Caribbean sailings through April 2027.
