U by Uniworld launches Facebook agent contest

U by Uniworld has launched a contest for travel agents from around the world, including Canada, to gain a spot on their very first sailing – an invitation-only ‘Sneak Peek’ U cruise, setting sail Oct. 7-11, 2017.
To enter, travel agents aged 21-45 must create and post a 30-second video to the U by Uniworld Facebook page, sharing how they are going to sell U, tagging #I’mGonnaSellU to their post. Uniworld’s internal Advisory Board is to vote on the final winners from entries with the most likes on Facebook; selected content will be featured on ubyuniworld.com.
Ellen Bettridge, president & CEO of Uniworld, said that the brand had opted to host a contest instead of holding a traditional familiarization trip. “We simply do not have the space to accommodate the tremendous enthusiasm for our exciting new brand,” she commented. “Instead, we’ve decided to add to the fun by giving motivated agents the chance to win their spot on our special, preview sailing.”
The itinerary, sailing from Paris to Paris, will feature a by-invitation-only guest list with top social influencers, media and contest winners.
Entries are to be accepted now through Aug. 15, 2017 for the contest, ending at 11:59 p.m. The voting process will take place between Aug. 16-22, with the winners to be announced on Aug. 23.
