Trafalgar seeks ship godmother, offers inaugural sailing to winner and advisor

Trafalgar has launched The Great Godmother Search, inviting past guests to share a meaningful travel story for the chance to christen Trafalgar Dreamer ahead of its April 2027 debut on the Seine.

The selected godmother will join the ship’s inaugural voyage. If the winner names a travel advisor in their application, that advisor will also receive a complimentary place on the sailing.

Eligible past guests have until October 29, 2026, to submit their stories. Advisors are encouraged to share the opportunity with clients and remind them to include their advisor’s name when entering. Advisors should not submit entries on behalf of guests.

The campaign follows a tradition established with Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie, whose godmothers, Cassie Estrella-Roca and Kate McIntosh, were selected from past guests.

“Travel has a way of creating memories that stay with us long after a trip comes to an end, and those stories are at the heart of what makes the Trafalgar experience so special,” said Melissa DaSilva, deputy CEO and chief sales officer, TTC Tour Brands.

DaSilva said the search also recognizes the role travel advisors play in creating those experiences.

Trafalgar Dreamer will launch with the new Best of the Seine with Paris & Normandy itinerary, combining guided travel with local experiences along the river.

Entries, eligibility requirements, judging criteria and official terms are available here.
