Tauck opens 2027 Europe bookings, adds Champagne & Alsace tour
Tauck has opened bookings for its 2027 European land itineraries, including a new eight-day journey through France’s Champagne and Alsace regions.
The company has also reworked one of its existing France itineraries, now called Bordeaux, the Dordogne & Biarritz.
The new A Week In… Champagne & Alsace itinerary is a Small Group journey averaging 24 guests.
The eight-day trip begins in Kaysersberg, Alsace, with a three-night stay at Le Chambard Hotel & Spa.
Guests will visit the nearby wine villages of Ribeauvillé and Colmar, stop at a Munster cheese dairy in the countryside and attend a private dinner at a chef’s home overlooking the Obernai Valley.
The itinerary then continues to Reims, where guests will spend three nights at La Caserne Chanzy, a restored 18th-century military barracks.
Highlights include a tour and tasting at a Champagne house, an afternoon exploring the vineyards of Épernay by vintage car with a picnic lunch among the vines and an exclusive dinner at Moët & Chandon.
The trip ends with a visit to the Château de Chantilly and a farewell dinner at Château Mont Royal.
Departures will operate in April, May, June, September and October, with prices starting at $7,990 USD per person, double occupancy, plus airfare.
Bordeaux itinerary reworked
Tauck has also reimagined its France land journey for 2027 as Bordeaux, the Dordogne & Biarritz.
The itinerary has been reduced from 14 days to 10 days and focuses on southwestern France.
The trip begins with three nights at the InterContinental Bordeaux, with highlights including a visit to the Cité du Vin and a château dinner in the Médoc.
Guests then spend three nights at Hôtel les Glycines in the Dordogne, with a stop in the medieval village of St-Émilion, a private visit to Lascaux IV with dinner and time at Sarlat’s open-air market.
The journey concludes with three nights at Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, with excursions to Basque country and the fishing village of St-Jean-de-Luz, plus free time to explore the coast.
All departures operate as Small Groups. Prices start at $8,490 USD per person, double occupancy, plus airfare.
44 Europe land journeys in 2027
Tauck said Europe remains its most popular destination, with 2026 bookings across land, river and Tauck Bridges itineraries pacing nearly four per cent ahead of the prior year.
The company has been operating European land journeys since 1991, when it launched itineraries along the secondary “Yellow Roads” of Michelin maps.
Tauck has also reduced average group sizes across its European land portfolio in recent years through Small Group departures averaging 24 guests and Even Smaller Group departures averaging 15 guests.
Tauck’s European land journey pricing includes airport transfers, accommodations, most meals, sightseeing, entrance fees and more.
In total, Tauck will offer 44 European land journeys in 2027, including seven Tauck Bridges itineraries designed for families.
