Suite upgrade: Silversea unveils new categories, perks for 2027

Silversea is reshaping its suite offering, organizing 17 suite types into four new categories and introducing an expanded slate of benefits for guests staying in its higher-tier accommodations.

The luxury brand has grouped its suites into Oceanview, Veranda, Residence and Villa categories, with the new structure available to book beginning Sept. 16, 2026.

Enhanced benefits for Residence and Villa guests will take effect on sailings departing on or after Jan. 1, 2027, across Silversea’s classic and expedition fleets.

"Guests choose to sail with Silversea time and time again for the intimacy of our ships and the personal attention that comes with it," said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea, in a press release.

"Our new suite categories let us build directly on that foundation. Whether that’s with early access to spa and dining reservations or dedicated time with the ship's head sommelier – we’re strengthening the personalized service that has always defined Silversea, while maintaining and expanding on the inclusions guests know and love."

Four new categories

Under the new structure, the Oceanview category includes Panorama and Vista suites, which feature large windows and ocean views.

The Veranda category comprises Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda and Veranda suites, all featuring private balconies.

Residence includes Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion and Medallion suites, which offer separate bedroom and living areas.

At the top end, the Villa category encompasses Otium, Master, Owner's, Grand and Royal suites, Silversea's largest accommodations, featuring generous living spaces and large terraces.

All suites will continue to include Silversea's existing benefits, including butler service, 24-hour in-suite dining, complimentary Wi-Fi, multiple dining options, beverages, port fees, taxes and gratuities.

More perks for Residence guests

Guests booking Residence suites for eligible 2027 sailings will receive priority embarkation on Classic Voyages.

They will also receive earlier access to reservations, with spa treatments bookable 210 days before departure and dining reservations available 150 days in advance.

Oceanview and Veranda guests will continue to receive Silversea's existing personalized, all-inclusive service.

Villa guests get added extras

Villa guests will receive all Residence benefits along with a wider range of services and experiences.

On Classic Voyages, guests who book airfare through Silversea will receive a private transfer, along with priority embarkation, early access to their suite and a welcome escort.

Villa guests will also have access to one-on-one consultations with the ship's chef, sommelier and spa manager to personalize dining, wine and wellness experiences.

A collection of in-suite experiences will also be available, including chef-selected dining, afternoon tea, a stargazing evening with Champagne and caviar, cocktail celebrations for hosting guests, and a cigar-and-whiskey pairing.

Each Villa suite will also have a Technogym exercise bag with a yoga mat, resistance bands and roller.

Other benefits include priority access to a Destination Expert for planning flights, hotels, shore excursions, Land Programs and City Stays ahead of departure.

At select debarkation ports on Classic Voyages, Villa guests will be able to extend their time aboard on the final day, retaining access to dining, beverages, onboard spaces and Wi-Fi, while their luggage is stored until the ship's next departure.

On Expedition Voyages, Villa guests will receive Flexible Zodiac Departure, allowing them to join their preferred Zodiac group. They will also have priority entry to a kayaking session of their choice and behind-the-scenes access to expedition operations alongside onboard experts.

The new suite categories are available to book beginning Sept. 16, with the enhanced Residence and Villa benefits applying to departures from Jan. 1, 2027.
