Royal Caribbean’s seventh Oasis Class ship begins construction
Royal Caribbean has marked the first of many milestones for the seventh Oasis Class vacation in the fleet.
The first piece of steel was cut for the next in the Oasis Class lineup of ships. The soon-to-be-named vacation is officially on its way toward its bold introduction in 2028, the cruise line said.
To kick off the exciting journey for the newest ship, a steel-cutting ceremony was held at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
Representatives from Royal Caribbean and Chantiers de l'Atlantique attended the milestone event to commemorate the moment alongside the teams of innovators, naval engineers, architects, designers and more working to bring lucky number seven to life.
From the original Oasis of the Seas to Utopia of the Seas, the evolution continues for the Oasis Class with the seventh in the lineup.
More details about the seventh Oasis Class ship, including its name, will be shared at a later date, the company said.
