Royal Caribbean suspends visits to Labadee, Haiti until October
Royal Caribbean has extended its suspension of cruise calls to Labadee, its private destination in Haiti, citing ongoing safety concerns in the region.
The pause in operations is expected to remain in place until at least October 2025.
The cruise line previously halted visits to Labadee earlier this year, following an earlier suspension in 2024.
Ships last docked at the destination during the first quarter of 2025.
Haiti remains under a state of emergency, declared in March 2024, amid escalating gang-related violence and civil unrest.
The Government of Canada advises against all travel to Haiti due to the risk of kidnappings, gang violence and widespread civil unrest.
Royal Caribbean has informed guests impacted by the itinerary change directly.
The cruise line has not indicated whether future calls to Labadee will be reassessed beyond the current suspension window.
