Oceania adds expert speakers to every sailing

Oceania Cruises is expanding its onboard enrichment program fleetwide in 2027, adding dedicated expert speakers to every sailing alongside new special-interest, wellness and creative programming.

The enhanced program is aimed at giving guests more opportunities to learn about the destinations they visit while exploring a wider range of interests during their time at sea.

Beginning next year, every Oceania Cruises sailing will feature an enrichment speaker specializing in heritage, culture or history. Presentations will be designed to complement the cruise line's destination-focused itineraries, with additional programming offered on longer voyages.

"Today's luxury traveler is seeking more meaningful ways to engage with the world around them," said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania, in a press release.

"By expanding our speaker program and introducing additional opportunities for cultural exploration, wellness and special-interest learning, we are creating even more ways for guests to personalize their luxury experience and make the most of their time at sea."

More speakers on longer sailings

Voyages of 12 days or longer will feature a second special-interest speaker, expanding the range of subjects guests can explore onboard.

Topics may include astronomy, sports, artificial intelligence, technology, health and longevity, as well as other contemporary subjects intended to encourage learning and conversation.

The enrichment offering will expand further depending on the number of sea days included in an itinerary.

On voyages with three or more sea days, guests may have access to specialist-led experiences, including American Mah Jongg classes or bridge instruction and play led by American Contract Bridge League-Accredited Master Instructors.

Sailings featuring six or more sea days will offer additional activities, including creative workshops led by dedicated Crafting Arts Ambassadors or BeMoved.

BeMoved is an inclusive dance program designed to combine music and movement while encouraging guests to stay active and support personal wellbeing during their voyage.
