NCL: gratuities increase, agents to receive commission on FCCs
Norwegian Cruise Line will raise gratuities on April 1, while travel agents will start to receive commissions on future cruise credits later this spring.
The gratuities increase, which takes place exactly one year after NCL had last raised the price, will see daily gratuities on all standard cabins (except for the Norwegian Sky and Sun) increased from $13.99 USD to $14.50, while gratuity fees for suites and The Haven will increase to $17.50 from $16.99.
Fees on the Norwegian Sun and Sky for standard cabins will increase from $18.99 to $19.99, while prices for suites on those ships will go up to $22.99 from $21.99.
For bookings made by March 31, guests can prepay the fees at the current rate before sailing.
For travel agents, NCL has announced that cruises booked with future cruise credits will now be eligible for commission; any cruise booked via FCC issued after June 1, 2018 will see the guest’s agent receive the full commission on the booking.
