MSC World Atlantic touches water for the first time
MSC Cruises has reached a major milestone in the construction of its next flagship, MSC World Atlantic. The ship touched water for the first time last week at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France.
Set to become the 25th ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, the newly built vessel was moved from the construction dock into the water, marking the next phase of its completion ahead of delivery.
MSC World Atlantic will also be the fourth LNG-powered vessel in the cruise line’s World Class series.
Following the float out, the ship will remain at Chantiers de l’Atlantique as work continues on its interiors, public spaces and final technical elements.
Heading to the Caribbean
Starting in November 2027, MSC World Atlantic will offer seven- and 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings, including calls at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’ private island in the Bahamas.
On board, MSC is bringing together cultures, flavours and styles from both sides of the Atlantic.
The ship will feature seven distinct districts, each with its own atmosphere, facilities and entertainment.
Itineraries are now available to book.
