MSC revises winter 2027-28 deployment

MSC Cruises is reshuffling its Winter 2027-28 deployment, with changes that will see MSC World Europa remain in the Mediterranean and new flagship MSC World Asia head to the South Caribbean.

MSC World Europa, which was originally scheduled to operate in the Middle East, will instead continue offering seven-night itineraries in the Western Mediterranean.

The ship’s winter program will include calls in Barcelona, Spain; Marseille, France; Genoa and Civitavecchia, Italy; Messina, Sicily; and Valletta, Malta.

MSC World Asia heads to the Caribbean

Meanwhile, MSC World Asia will spend Winter 2027-28 sailing in the South Caribbean, operating a mix of seven- and 14-night itineraries.

Embarkation will be available in Fort-de-France, Martinique; Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe; and Bridgetown, Barbados.

The itineraries will visit destinations across the region, including Castries, Saint Lucia; St. George’s, Grenada; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda; Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis; Roseau, Dominica; and Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Booked guests being contacted

The deployment changes will affect some guests who have already booked Winter 2027/2028 sailings.

Guests booked aboard MSC World Europa in the Middle East, along with their travel partners, are being contacted directly about their options.

According to MSC Cruises, those options include moving their booking to another sailing or requesting a full refund.

Guests booked aboard MSC World Asia in the Mediterranean or MSC Meraviglia in the South Caribbean for Winter 2027/2028 will have their bookings updated and will also be contacted directly regarding any individual changes.
