MSC Cruises is sending one of its newest ships to warmer waters for winter 2027-28, with MSC Euribia set to operate seven-night cruises in the Canary Islands and Madeira.

The deployment will mark the fourth season of MSC Cruises’ winter program in the region and will increase capacity while introducing a broader range of onboard dining, entertainment and leisure experiences.

“The Canary Islands are an important part of our winter offering and a program that our guests continue to value highly,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, in a press release.

“Deploying MSC Euribia for winter 2027-28 is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the region and to the continued development of this popular program. One of the newest ships in our fleet will increase the capacity for this season and bring an outstanding range of experiences to guests while allowing them to discover the distinctive character of the Canary Islands and Madeira.”

Seven-night island hopping

The seven-night itinerary will visit destinations across the Canary Islands and Madeira, combining volcanic landscapes, historic towns, beaches and local cuisine.

Ports featured in the program include Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Funchal in Madeira, Lanzarote and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, along with a day at sea.

Guests will have four embarkation options: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal, Arrecife and Santa Cruz de La Palma.

MSC Cruises said the deployment reflects continued demand for winter cruises in the Canary Islands, which attract travellers with their warm climate and range of destinations.

The cruise line also noted the program brings economic benefits to the islands during the winter season by supporting ports, tourism businesses, tour operators, transportation providers and other local suppliers.

MSC Euribia heads south

One of the newer ships in MSC Cruises’ fleet, MSC Euribia features the Galleria Euribia, an indoor promenade beneath an LED dome lined with restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.

The ship also offers dedicated facilities for children and teenagers, pools, a large waterpark and the MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line’s luxury ship-within-a-ship concept.

MSC Fantasia takes over Mediterranean sailings

With MSC Euribia moving to the Canary Islands, MSC Fantasia will take over its current seven-night Western Mediterranean program for winter 2027-28.

Sailing round-trip from Barcelona, MSC Fantasia will visit Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and La Goulette, with a day at sea. Embarkation will be available at several ports along the itinerary.

Sales for both MSC Euribia’s Canary Islands and Madeira cruises and MSC Fantasia’s Western Mediterranean program will open Sept. 28.
