MSC Cruises has unveiled fresh details of a new Pan-Asian dining concept that will debut aboard MSC World Asia, as the cruise line continues to expand its onboard culinary offerings.

The new venue will combine three distinct experiences under one roof: a specialty restaurant, a bar and lounge, and a complimentary grab-and-go counter.

Designed to give guests greater flexibility throughout the day, the concept caters to travellers looking for a full-service meal, a casual drink or a quick bite between activities.

Inspired by the vibrant street food culture of Southeast Asia, the venue draws on the flavours and atmosphere of destinations including Indonesia, Singapore, South China, Thailand and Vietnam.

The experience promises cuisine, live cooking, music and themed décor to recreate the energy of the region's bustling food markets.

Menu highlights include Singapore-style prawns, shiitake mushroom fried rice and wok-fired specialties, complemented by bold artwork, a curated soundtrack and an open kitchen designed to create a multi-sensory dining experience.

“With this new three-in-one venue, we are inviting guests to explore one of the world’s most exciting food cultures in a way that is vibrant, welcoming and full of flavour,” said Stéphane Franchini, senior director of food & beverage product at MSC, in a press release.

“From the diverse range of dishes to the atmosphere of the space and the expertise of Chefs Xiao Wang and Luca Césarini, every detail has been carefully designed to create a truly immersive culinary journey. It reflects our ambition to offer greater choice, seamless convenience and more memorable moments through food.”

The specialty restaurant will offer indoor seating and a rooftop terrace, serving a set menu featuring an appetizer, main course and dessert inspired by communal dining traditions across Asia. Beverage options will include bottled Asian beers such as Tsingtao, Chang and Bintang, alongside bubble teas, smoothies and fresh fruit juices.

Within the same venue, the bar and lounge will showcase Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails, including jasmine mojitos, rose and strawberry daiquiris and matcha coladas, designed to pair with the menu.

For guests seeking a faster option, a complimentary takeaway counter will serve street food-style snacks throughout the day, including crispy seafood balls, bao buns and other grab-and-go bites.

The new concept forms part of MSC World Asia's expanded culinary programme, which will feature 19 dining venues, including six specialty restaurants, six main dining concepts, an exclusive restaurant for MSC Yacht Club guests, and a range of fast-casual options.

In addition to the new Pan-Asian venue, guests will be able to dine at returning favourites including Butcher's Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki and Hola! Tacos & Cantina.

MSC also confirmed that a new Mediterranean specialty restaurant will join the line-up, with further details to be announced at a later date.
