Hapag-Lloyd Cruises introduces two-tier fare structure
(Supplied)

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has replaced its three-tier booking system with a two-fare model effective immediately for all new bookings.

The structure offers Platinum and Silver fare options.

"Our goal is to make booking decisions easier for guests," says Clas Eckholt, vice president commercial, TUI Cruises.

"With two fares and more flexible options in the PLATINUM fare, guests gain greater clarity and freedom in planning their trips."

The  Platinum fare includes one complimentary rebooking up to 90 days before departure and allows cancellations up to 180 days prior to sailing for a fee.

Additional policies apply for voyages of 22 days or longer and top suite categories.

Guests can select their cabin, suite and deck at booking, and have early access to shore excursion reservations.

The Silver fare maintains the cruise line's included services, with cabin and deck assignments made by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

Shore excursions become available for booking 14 days after publication.

Both fares include arrival champagne, daily minibar service, 24-hour cabin service and all meals.

Select itineraries feature included activities such as Zodiac excursions.

Starting January 3, 2026, all guests will have access to complimentary soft drinks throughout the day.

Existing bookings are not affected by the change.
