Explora unveils new experiences in C. America, Canada-U.S. Pacific, Hawaii

Explora Journeys has unveiled its latest Destination Experiences to Central America, the United States and Canada Pacific Coast and Hawaii between March to May 2024.

The offer includes a 14-night journey from Amador, Panama to Los Angeles, USA (March 29 – April 12, 2024) visiting ports such as Quepos, Costa Rica, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

A six-night journey from Los Angeles, California to Vancouver, B.C. (April 12-18, 2024) with stops in San Francisco and Astoria in the U.S. allows for discoveries along the American West Coast.

Guests have the chance to absorb the energizing atmosphere of Hawaii during two extraordinary journeys: nine nights from Vancouver, Canada, to Honolulu (April 18-27, 2024) and nine nights from Honolulu, to Vancouver, B.C. (April 27 – May 6, 2024).

Key ports of call include Hilo (Hawaii), Honolulu (Oahu), Kailua-Kona (Hawaii), Nawiliwili (Kauai), Los Angeles, San Francisco and Panama offering a unique and enriching exploration of the Pacific Coast, Hawaii and Central America.

From royal residencies and volcanic landscapes to sandy beaches and pristine reefs, the experience encompasses protected natural wonders, intriguing art, and historical sites of Hawaii and the Pacific Coast.

The highlights

A journey in Cabo San Lucas with the Tantalizing Temazcal Immersion: Guests are invited to partake in a traditional Temazcal ceremony, an ancient healing ritual practiced by Mayans, Aztecs, and Toltecs for millennia. Led by a shaman, participants enter the candlelit Temazcal, where water is poured onto hot stones, providing both physical detoxification and spiritual restoration. Post-ceremony, guests can savour local delicacies before unwinding at the luxury spa with hot tubs and cold plunges.

Hollywood Hills Hike in Los Angeles: Embarking on an invigorating hike through Griffith Park, travellers summit Mount Lee for an up-close encounter with the iconic Hollywood Sign. Led by knowledgeable guides, they learn about Hollywood's rich history, discover landmarks and famous studios, and indulge in a picnic lunch in Griffith Park with breathtaking views of the LA skyline.

Volcanic Marvels and a Celestial Odyssey in Off-grid Hawaii in Hilo: Travellers can discover the enchanting Rainbow Falls nestled in lush Hawaiian rainforest, explore Boiling Pots and the Kaumana Caves, and venture into the captivating world of two of Big Island’s five volcanoes with a National Park Service expert. Witnessing celestial observations during the day and night with state-of-the-art telescopes and highly experienced astronomers, offering views of galaxies, planets, and more, is a highlight.

Behind the Scenes: Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and USS Missouri Memorial in Honolulu: Exclusive guided tours of historic hangars, outdoor exhibits, and the Raytheon Pavilion await. Explorers can delve into the USS Missouri Memorial above and below deck, hearing captivating tales of WWII dogfights and civilian aviation history. An exclusive experience of the Lower Control Tower, not available to the public, is also part of the journey.
