CroisiEurope adds Rhine & Gironde to 2025 Cruise + Hike program

CroisiEurope has expanded its Cruise & Hike program for 2025, adding two new itineraries through the Rhine Valley and along the Gironde.

The cruises, which feature guided walks, are perfect for walkers and non-walkers alike with a selection of excursions available for those who don’t want to hike.

The Rhine Valley: A five-night cruise round trip from Strasbourg through the Rhine Valley taking in a mix of landscapes, cultures and history via Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Mainz and Rastatt.

Walkers will enjoy a trek towards the Kühkopf and Hasenberg near Koblenz, hikes through the picturesque Rhine and Hibou Trails as well as the Eberbach Monastery near Rüdesheim, and a unique treetop walk in the Black Forest.

Non-walkers can opt for excursions to Rüdesheim including Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet, Koblenz and the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Mainz and the Gutenberg Museum and the elegant spa town of Baden-Baden.

The cruise on the MS Gerard Schmitter departs August 28, 2025 with prices from CAD $3,073 per person including all meals and drinks, guided hikes and excursions, port fees and repatriation insurance.

The Gironde: A four-night cruise round trip from Bordeaux exploring the Gironde, trekking across the banks of an estuary dotted with traditional fishing cabins, through Bordeaux and its historic downtown, along the Fort-Médoc Loop following the footsteps of French military engineer Vauban, and into the medieval city of Saint-Émilion and its vineyards.

Walkers will enjoy an urban hike through the centre of Bordeaux, the Fort-Médoc Loop, following Vauban’s footsteps, a circular route through the vineyards and citadel near Blaye and a day on the hills and slopes of Saint-Émilion.

Non-walkers can enjoy guided tours to the Médoc Wine Route, Blaye and its Vauban citadel and the medieval city of Saint-Émilion.

The cruise on the MS Cyrano de Bergerac departs October 13, 2025 with prices from CAD $2,671 per person including all meals and drinks, guided hikes and excursions, port fees and repatriation insurance.

With the addition of these two new cruises, CroisiEurope now offers eight Cruise & Hike itineraries in Croatia and Montenegro, through the Douro Valley, around Corsica, through the Rhône and Saône regions, from Venice to Mantua, and along the Danube.
