Chefs Lynn Crawford, Lora Kirk reunite with Scenic for Douro cruise

Canadian chefs Lynn Crawford and Lora Kirk are teaming up with Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours for a second river cruise, this time taking their culinary talents to Portugal’s Douro Valley.

The eight-day “A Chef's Culinary Adventure of Delightful Douro” itinerary will sail round trip from Porto aboard the Scenic Azure, departing Nov. 5, 2027.

The gastronomic-themed voyage will immerse guests in Portuguese culture and cuisine, combining local flavours and wines with visits to villages, vineyards and historic sites throughout the Douro Valley.

Culinary experiences with Crawford & Kirk

The 96-guest sailing will feature a series of exclusive events hosted by Crawford and Kirk, beginning with a welcome reception on the first night.

Guests will also participate in an interactive cooking demonstration led by the chefs, highlighting some of their favourite techniques and culinary inspirations.

An intimate Q&A and personal photo opportunity with Crawford and Kirk will also be offered, while a chef-curated dinner created specifically for the departure will showcase the flavours of Portugal.

Beyond the onboard culinary programming, the itinerary will explore the culture and traditions of the Douro Valley, including its vineyards, Port wine and regional cuisine.

The journey also includes a visit to Salamanca, Spain, known for its historic architecture, as well as a kayaking excursion along the Pinhão River past traditional villages.

Guests will visit the village of Provesende and attend an exclusive private classical concert inside São Francisco Church.

Sailing aboard Scenic Azure

Guests will sail aboard Scenic Azure, one of Scenic’s 5-Star Space-Ships.

The all-inclusive experience includes private butler service for every suite, premium beverages throughout the day, a daily restocked mini-bar and up to five onboard dining experiences.

The ship also features a dedicated wellness area and fitness centre.

Tips and gratuities, local guides, Scenic Freechoice excursions and exclusive Scenic Enrich experiences are also included, with additional charges applying to select optional services such as spa treatments and salon appointments.

Pricing & offers

Pricing for the Nov. 5, 2027 sailing starts at CAD $8,745 per person, based on double occupancy.

Guests who book by Nov. 15, 2026, can choose between two Best Available Offers: free airfare plus savings of up to $400 per person, or savings of up to $2,000 per person.

For a limited time, an additional $350 per person in bonus savings is also available.
