Celestyal returns to Cuba on Oct. 20
Celestyal Cruises will return to Cuba on Oct. 20 for its fifth year of winter deployment, undeterred by recent events such as this year's hurricane season and disputes between the U.S. and Cuban governments.
The line will once again offer all-inclusive, seven-day circumnavigations of the island.
In response to the recent explusion of Cuban diplomats from the U.S. over allegations of mysterious acoustic attacks, Celestyal deemed the incidents "entirely unrelated to tourism and currently under investigation by the governments of Cuba, the USA and Canada. Safety and security at sea and on land continue to be the highest priorities of Celestyal Cruises, and the cruise line is pleased to maintain impeccable standards while providing passengers with authentic lifetime experiences in the Caribbean."
Post Hurricane Irma, "Cuba is quickly returning to normal," Celestyal added. "There is no damage to any port facility and all cruise and shore excursion operations in Cuba are running smoothly. Cuba's Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that tourism facilities were largely back to normal just one week after Irma. In short, none of the tourism sites that are part of Celestyal’s itinerary have been affected."
