Celebrity unveils 2028-29 deployment, expands Europe program

Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its 2028-29 deployment, featuring an expanded Europe season and itineraries across all seven continents.

For the first time, four Edge Series ships will sail in Europe, including the renewed Celebrity Beyond. 

The program also includes new ports of call, longer seasons in several destinations and itineraries in Alaska, Asia, Australia, New England and South America.

“From the breathtaking fjords of Norway to the untouched beauty of Antarctica, these itineraries offer endless opportunities to explore, pairing immersive destinations with the elevated hospitality and unforgettable moments that define The Celebrity Way.”

Highlights include Celebrity’s first visit to Galway, Ireland, a return to Bari, Italy, for the first time since 2014 and overnight visits to Egypt. 

The deployment will also bring round-trip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles, Celebrity Equinox’s first Alaska season and an extended South America program that includes Antarctica.

Four Edge Series ships in Europe

Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Apex will sail in Europe during what the company says will be its largest Northern Europe program to date.

Celebrity Beyond will return to Europe for the first time since 2023 following a 2026 renewal. 

New spaces include Mediterranean restaurant Bora and the Celebrity Pool Club, which features Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol.

The ship will offer seven- to 14-night sailings from Southampton to Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia. 

One 14-night itinerary will visit Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur in Iceland before continuing through the Norwegian fjords with calls in Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid and Bergen.

Celebrity Summit will also operate round-trip Iceland sailings from Reykjavik.

Celebrity Apex will offer 12-night Scandinavian itineraries visiting Oslo, Skagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Helsinki and Copenhagen. 

New 12-night British Isles sailings will visit Scotland, Ireland and England, including Celebrity’s first call in Galway.

In the Mediterranean, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Eclipse will operate seven- to 11-night itineraries visiting destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.

Celebrity Constellation will sail 10- and 11-night Italy and Croatia itineraries, including Celebrity’s first visit to Bari since 2014.

Celebrity Infinity will continue sailing in Europe year-round. 

Its program includes Celebrity’s first Egypt sailings since 2023, with overnight calls in Alexandria. 

Shoulder-season itineraries from Athens will visit Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos and Ephesus, while winter sailings from Barcelona will visit the Canary Islands, Portugal and Morocco.

Alaska and Hawaii

Three Celebrity ships will sail in Alaska in 2028.

Celebrity Edge will return for a fifth season, while Celebrity Equinox will make its Alaska debut with seven-night open-jaw sailings between Vancouver and Seward. 

Celebrity Millennium will offer round-trip departures from Vancouver.

Guests sailing on Celebrity Equinox will be able to add a land-based Cruisetour featuring lodge stays and travel by road and rail, with stops in Anchorage, Talkeetna and Denali.

Celebrity Equinox will also operate new round-trip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles.

Australia, New Zealand and Asia

Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice will operate 23 sailings departing from Sydney and Auckland. 

The Australia and New Zealand program will range from four-night getaways to 14-night itineraries.

South Pacific sailings aboard Celebrity Solstice will visit destinations including Tauranga, Lifou in the Loyalty Islands and Mystery Island in Vanuatu.

The renewed Celebrity Solstice will sail its first full Japan season from April to October 2028. 

Itineraries will include Tokyo, views of Mount Fuji and overnight stays in Kyoto and Aomori, along with departures timed around Golden Week and Gion Matsuri.

Spring and fall sailings aboard Celebrity Millennium will coincide with cherry blossom and hibiscus seasons, as well as koyo, Japan’s autumn foliage season. 

Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will make a combined 17 visits to Okinawa.

Winter sailings in Southeast Asia will visit Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and China. 

Overnight calls are planned in Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Penang.

An overnight stay in Hong Kong aboard Celebrity Millennium will coincide with New Year’s Eve 2028.

South America and Antarctica

Celebrity Equinox will operate an extended South America season with 12- to 16-night itineraries spanning five countries and including Antarctica.

The program will feature destinations in the Chilean fjords, Iguazu Falls and Patagonia, with opportunities to visit penguin colonies, hike and go whale watching. 

Overnight stays are planned in Valparaiso and Buenos Aires.

A 16-night holiday sailing will spend New Year’s in Antarctica.

Bermuda, Canada and New England

In May 2028, Celebrity Summit will sail seven-night Bermuda itineraries round trip from Cape Liberty, New Jersey. 

The sailings will include two overnight stays in Bermuda.

In September and October 2028, the ship will offer 12-night Canada and New England itineraries from Boston. 

The program will feature lighthouses, fishing villages and fall foliage, along with an overnight call in Quebec City.

Summer 2028 Japan sailings are now available to book. 

Europe, Bermuda, Canada and New England go on sale Aug. 25, followed by Alaska, Hawaii and South America on Sept. 1.

Australia and winter 2028-29 Asia sailings go on sale Sept. 29, 2026. 

Caribbean and 2029 Galapagos itineraries will be released at a later date.
