Carnival Legend has returned to service following a 16-day dry dock in Freeport, debuting Carnival Cruise Line’s new “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

The new design, inspired by “America the Beautiful,” will be rolled out across Carnival’s U.S. ships during dry docks and new builds.

Carnival said the design is intended to reflect the U.S. landscapes and oceans the cruise line shares with guests across the country.

The crest will not appear on Carnival Jubilee or Carnival Tropicale, which is scheduled to debut in 2028, as both ships display the Texas star on their bows.

Carnival Magic will be the next ship to receive the new crest when it returns to PortMiami from dry dock on May 26.

“With the debut of this new crest, we’re reinforcing what guests have long known: Carnival is proud to be America’s Cruise Line,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

“We sail coast to coast and connect with millions of guests every year, and this crest reflects the reach of our brand across the U.S. – from the communities we visit to the memories we help create at sea.”

To mark the debut, Carnival invited veterans from the Miami Veteran Affairs Healthcare System to view the new crest and receive Carnival’s America250 challenge coins in recognition of their service.

Carnival said it hosts more active-duty military members and veterans than any other cruise line, recognizing them at military appreciation gatherings on every North American sailing.

The crest’s debut comes as Carnival prepares to mark America250, the United States’ 250th anniversary.

From June 4 to July 4, guests across the fleet will have access to patriotic events, including trivia, crafts and ship meet-ups timed for July 4 fireworks on both coasts.
