Carnival expands offerings departing from Galveston & Jacksonville for 2026-27
Carnival Miracle. (Carnival Cruise Line)

Carnival Cruise Line guests who sail from Galveston and Jacksonville now have even more options to choose from as they plan future vacations.

The international cruise line’s new sailings will expand cruise schedules in both homeports through spring 2027 and open new opportunities to sail to popular destinations in Mexico, The Bahamas and the Caribbean.

A highlight among the new cruises is an addition to the popular Carnival Journeys program of longer cruises that preludes Carnival Miracle’s 2026 deployment in Galveston.

When the ship repositions from Seattle to Galveston following the 2026 Alaska season, it will sail a 16-day cruise departing Sept. 26, 2026, that features a transit of the Panama Canal, as well as visits to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

From Galveston, Carnival Miracle will continue Carnival’s four-ship deployment from the popular Texas homeport and offer a selection of Western Caribbean cruises in 2026 and 2027.

The ship will sail both four-day itineraries that stop in Cozumel, offering a long weekend getaway from Galveston each weekend through the winter months, as well as five-day options that include visits to Progreso, Yucatán.

For guests looking for longer voyages, Carnival Miracle will also offer unique 10-day cruises that explore both Eastern and Western Caribbean destinations like Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay in The Bahamas, as well as Grand Turk and Amber Cove.

Select sailings visit exotic destinations like Belize, Mahogany Bay and Montego Bay, and other options include visits to Costa Rica and Colon, Panama, from which shore excursions to tour the Panama Canal are available for purchase.

The ship first arrives Oct. 16, 2024, to complete Carnival’s new four-ship deployment plan for the popular homeport.

Carnival Elation is set to continue an array of Bahamas cruise itineraries that guests enjoy year-round service from Jacksonville.

Guests can choose from various four- and five-day cruises, with Thursday and Saturday departures, featuring stops at Celebration Key, Carnival’s new premier destination, and Nassau.

Some itineraries include a visit to Bimini and five-day options also offer an additional stop at Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays.
