Carnival Conversations kick off for 2018
Carnival Cruise Line’s 2018 Carnival Conversations travel agent engagement program is underway, with seven events featuring a panel of Carnival executives set to take place through Nov. 2018 – including a stop in Toronto.
The Carnival Conversations format has evolved this year to offer targeted training to agents and roundtable discussions to gather feedback from agents on how the best sales and service can be provided by the cruise line to partners.
A panel discussion with Carnival executives on sales and marketing techniques will be featured at each event, with technology, group sales, social media, and general marketing and business acquisition to be featured.
Agents will also be assigned to smaller roundtable breakout sessions of up to 10 people at the end of each general session, allowing them to discuss topics in greater depth and give feedback to members of Carnival’s sales team.
“In creating our new series of Carnival Conversations events, we worked closely with agents in developing a format that would maximize their training and development, and give them tools they could implement immediately after the event,” commented Adolfo Perez, Carnival’s senior vice-president of sales and trade marketing.
“This program is richer in content than ever before, and is designed to supplement the hundreds of additional field trainings we offer throughout the year.”
The schedule got underway in San Antonio, Texas, with other stops set to include Boston, Toronto, Miami, Orlando, and Providence. Agents can register to participate through Carnival Passport, located within the line’s travel agent website GoCCL.com.
