Canadian agents play & train hard in the Big Apple
Canadian travel agents had a chance to sharpen their skills in New York City this past weekend (Sept 22-23) at a training seminar hosted by TravelBrands, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and SellOffVacations.com.
More than 40 agents from across Canada flew to the Big Apple for an action-packed weekend of workshops, sight-seeing and product training, which included an opportunity to explore NCL’s mighty Norwegian Escape ship.
“It took months of late nights and hard work planning this trip and with the right partners we made it a true success,” Erminia Nigro, director of sales Ontario at Travel Brands stated in a release. “We truly believe trainings like this are the way to go.”
Unpacking the product
Allowing agents to tour one of its ships gave NCL the opportunity to demystify its product.
“Cruising is still a complicated product for agents to sell,” Sabrina Greca, business development manager, strategic accounts for Canada at NCL, stated. “Norwegian was proud to welcome the SellOffVacations.com agents in New York for training and a lunch and a visit onboard the Norwegian Escape. The look on their faces and their amazement was priceless!”
Sheri Kines, director sales at SellOffVacations.com, echoed that sentiment, calling the fun and educational weekend in New York City “fantastic.”
