Atlas marks fifth anniversary of World Navigator, notes future expansion
Atlas Ocean Voyages is celebrating the fifth anniversary of World Navigator, the expedition yacht that launched the brand's vision for luxury expedition cruising when it embarked on its inaugural voyage on Aug. 4, 2021.
What began with a single yacht sailing the Mediterranean has grown into a three-yacht fleet, with the company now looking ahead to the debut of Atlas Adventurer in late 2028.
The vessel is billed as the “world's first luxury expedition sailing yacht” and will introduce Asia and Africa to the brand's growing list of destinations.
Since launching World Navigator, Atlas Ocean Voyages has expanded its offerings beyond traditional expedition cruises to include Polar Expeditions, Epicurean Expeditions and Cultural Expeditions.
The company's itineraries now span Antarctica, the Arctic, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, South America, the Caribbean, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Greenland, Iceland and the Canadian Arctic.
Beginning in late 2028, Atlas Adventurer will expand the brand's reach into Asia and Africa.
In a press release, the company also highlighted growing guest loyalty, noting that nearly 30 per cent of travellers return for another sailing through its Atlas Yacht Club loyalty program.
"Five years ago, World Navigator embarked on a remarkable journey that would shape the future of Atlas Ocean Voyages," said James A. Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, in a statement.
"What our team has built together is truly special—a luxury expedition brand defined not only by extraordinary destinations, but by extraordinary people. Every member of our shoreside and shipboard teams has contributed to creating experiences that inspire lifelong memories and lasting friendships.”
“We are equally grateful to our loyal Atlas Yacht Club members, whose continued trust, enthusiasm and passion have helped us grow this adventure together. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward with great excitement to welcoming Atlas Adventurer and expanding our horizons across Asia and Africa, while remaining true to the spirit of authentic discovery that has guided us from day one."
Over the past five years, Atlas Ocean Voyages says it has continued to enhance its guest experience through expanded culinary programming, enrichment offerings, expedition experiences and new itineraries.

To coincide with the anniversary, the company has also launched its End of Summer Savings promotion on select 2026-27 expeditions.
